My latest release is another quick color work hat. Argyle Borealis is worked in the superbly cozy, warm super bulky Malabrigo Rasta. Use that coveted, variegated skein and pair it with a solid to create a striking composition.
This colorwork design resembles window panes and the view beyond the panes. The design lends itself to lots of experimentation when it comes to color combinations – have fun with it!!
The Argyle Borealis Hat fits an adult head size of approx 21” – 23” (53.5 cm – 58.4 cm). Additional sizes are easily created by working more/fewer rounds to adjust the height or varying your needle size to adjust the circumference. Instructions for altering the size are provided.
Gauge is VERY IMPORTANT with most any project, but is critical with this one. Just be aware that working so few stitches on large yarn can lead to BIG variations in gauge and finished size, so check your measurements! Always match to the pattern gauge, not ball band or manufacturer suggested gauge! And check fit as you go, if possible.
As always, this downloadable, PDF pattern has been professionally tech edited and test knit to reduce the potential for error.
The Argyle Borealis Hat can be cast on and finished in a single evening, so make it tonight and wear it tomorrow!
