Wanderwood MittsFebruary in Upstate New York’s Finger Lakes Region has meant living in the frozen tundra! Endless days in the teens and lower, with windchills having a minus sign in front of them more often than not! Brrrr…

This had me thinking of chunky, warm yarn and quick knits. Enter the Wanderwood Mitts. These mitts are a SUPER QUICK knit with a nice big, well-defined cable extending from the wrist to the fingers. They are worked in Malabrigo Yarns Chunky in the colorway, Lettuce,  a cheery spring green to get us thinking about spring – even if we can’t quite yet believe it will return!

Wanderwood is made in one size, but can be easily adjusted, if needed, by changing needle size to adjust the circumference or adding/removing rounds from designated areas within the pattern to adjust the length. Easy peasy!

Gauge is VERY IMPORTANT with most any project, but is critical with this one. Just be aware that working so few stitches in larger yarn can lead to BIG variations in gauge and finished size, so check your measurements!

Wanderwood MittsAs always, this downloadable, PDF pattern has been professionally tech edited and test knit to reduce the potential for error.
