As colorful as it is cozy, Argyle Borealis is quick to knit and fun to wear. Knit it tonight and wear it for a winter hike or shopping downtown tomorrow. In fact, knit two. Using two full skeins of the recommended yarn is enough to make two hats – each the color reverse of the other!

SIZE(S):
Hat fits an adult head size of approx 21” – 23” (53.5 cm – 58.4 cm). Additional sizes are easily created by working more or rounds or altering your needle size.
CHARTED/WRITTEN:
The pattern is fully charted, but also includes complete written directions so the ability to read a chart is not necessary to work this pattern.
GAUGE:
10.5 stitches/13 rounds to 4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm) in stockinette stitch colorwork, blocked. Accurate gauge is EXTREMELY important with sts of this size.
Hat is cast on and joined into the round. Ribbing is then worked. A change to larger sized needles is made and the work continues in the round.
Hat features an attractive decrease and looks just as lovely without a Pom pom should you wish to forego this extra embellishment.
